World Day of Remembrance

Join Somerville Alliance for Safe Streets and co-sponsoring organizations from Medford, Arlington, and Cambridge, for a ceremony to commemorate the World Day of Remembrance on Sunday, November 19, 2:30 to 4 p.m. at the Dilboy Tennis Courts, 110 Alewife Brook Parkway. The WDoR is an international, annual event held to remember those killed and injured in crashes, and to amplify the call for changes that will prevent future traffic violence. The ceremony will provide a space for members of the community to speak about their losses and to come together around priorities for change. Mayor Katjana Ballantyne, City Councilor Judy Pineda-Neufeld, Senator Pat Jehlen and Representative Christine Barber will speak.
