Yart Sale 2023

Yart Sale is an opportunity for artists to sell from the comfort of their yards, driveways and porch. Think of a yard sale but with ART! On Saturday, August 12th, 12 p.m. to 6 p.m., (rain date 8/13) expect to see a range of things like paintings, photography, handmade objects, band merch, art supplies, collectible items or even plants all over the city! The opening hours of each yard will depend on each participant. For more information, click here.

Friday Night Flicks at Boynton Yards

Starts at 7 p.m. with yard games and fun, followed by candy, popcorn and movies once the sun sets. Attend a showing of Indiana Jones: Raiders of the Lost Ark on Friday, August 11. In case of inclement weather, the show will move into 101 South. For more information, click here.

Summer CPX Family Bike Ride

Gather for a community bike ride on Saturday, August 19, 2023 at 9:30 a.m. from Davis Square to the Charles River. In association with the Somerville Bicycle Committee, Friends of the Community Path, and Cambridge Bicycle Safety, and sponsored by Bicycle Belle and Wheelworks, the group ride is in celebration of the opening of the Community Path Extension. Registrations (one per family) are required for insurance reasons.

From the event’s press release: “Bring your kid bikes, grown up bikes, cargo bikes, bike trailers, tandem bikes, bikes with kid seats, etc for our Summer CPX Family Bike Ride. A chance to meet up with other families in the area, celebrate Summer, eat ice cream, play, check out the Community Path Extension with hundreds of friends, listen to the music of Matt Heaton, and have quality time with your children. All children must be accompanied by adults.”
