Calling all Somerville poets for National Poetry Month

In celebration of National Poetry Month, Mayor Katjana Ballantyne, the Somerville Arts Council, and Somerville Public Library invite local poets to submit their work to be featured in SAC and Public Library social media posts throughout the month of April.

In order to participate:

  • A poet must live or work in Somerville, or have a studio in Somerville.
  • The person submitting must be the creator of the poem
  • Short poems are recommended due to the space limitation on each post. Excerpts are welcome. More information on formatting and word limits may be available soon.
  • By submitting, you are providing consent to use your poem as part of this initiative and for the post and your name to be shared.
  • Poets are limited to one featured submission
